Pickleball

C'mon, man!

I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't heard it with my own ears. They are going to put pickleball courts in Recreation Park, and people are complaining that it will be too noisy.

That's right - the name of the park is "Recreation" and people don't want noise made there.

  • Recreation Park has a swimming pool, a skateboard park, and a baseball diamond - in addition to a smattering of playground equipment.
  • Recreation Park is on Stagecoach Trail, a major thoroughfare with continuous moderate traffic - including trucks.
  • Recreation Park was created as a space to make noise.

On behalf of humanity, I wish to apologize to the City Council for having to listen to this drivel.  To sit there patiently and without expression while people make fantastical claims takes a great deal of restraint.  I applaud you.
